Barb founded Career Booth following an extensive career helping individuals in both the public and private sectors to make successful work choices and transitions.
A recipient of awards for achievements in leadership and in career development, Barb’s background includes:
Design, management and Senior Coach of a successful non-profit service delivery operation offering career transition services for the general public (Career Station, 1997 to 2010).
Design, management and Senior Advisor of a national Career Centre for Federal Govt. employees impacted by downsizing – deemed Best Practice by Treasury Board (1995-1997).
Design, management and Senior Advisor of a highly successful career assignment program for Federal employees at all levels – operated on local, national and international levels (1989-1995).
Barb received a Deputy Minister’s Merit Award for contributions to public service (1995) and was the recipient of a Kitchissippi Community Service Award (2006).
A graduate of Queen’s University (Psychology and Literature majors), Barb is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and possesses over 25 years’ experience advising people of all ages in work-related matters.
